The Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO) and Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) have officially declared Juneteenth a company holiday beginning this Friday, June 19, 2020, as well as Martin Luther King Jr. Day beginning on Monday, Jan. 18, 2021. This organizational change is just one immediate step we are taking to support Black communities as we continue to actively promote and advocate for the anti-racism movement. The SGO Diversity and Inclusion Task Force is developing additional strategies to expand our long-term work and we have refocused an internal committee to do the same among SGO and FWC staff.
