Effective July 1, 2023, SGO member dues are being increased in the following categories and will go into effect for the 2024 calendar year membership term:

  • Full Membership (Tier 1): Increase from $625 to $665 ($40 increase)
  • Full Membership First Year (Tier 1): Increase from $312.50 to $332.50 ($20 increase)
  • Associate Membership (U.S. Advanced Practice Providers (APP), Registered Nurses, and non-MD Health Professionals): Increase from $185 to $199 ($14 increase)
  • Trainee Membership (U.S. Fellows-in-Training): Increase from $125 to $136 ($11 increase)

There are no changes to dues pricing for Full members in Tier 2-Tier 4 countries; non-U.S. APP and non-MD health professional Associate members; patient advocates; resident/student Trainee members; non-U.S. Fellows-in-Training; Senior members; and Institutional memberships for residency and fellowship programs. This new pricing structure will be in place ahead of the annual membership dues renewal campaign that begins in October.

“SGO membership is integral to our field of gynecologic oncology,” said SGO Membership Committee Chair Juliet Wolford, MD. “We rely on SGO for numerous educational and networking opportunities that are specific to our subspecialty. Since the last time our member dues increased in 2012, the number of full-time staff and volunteer committees have doubled, the journal subscription price has gone up, and our product offerings have increased exponentially.

“When members in our Tier One Full, Associate, and Trainee Fellow categories notice a slight increase in their dues this fall, we hope they’ll understand that we want to continue providing the best resources for gyn oncology practitioners and the patients they serve,” said SGO Membership Committee Vice Chair Jill Whyte, MD. “SGO is uniquely positioned to be the leading voice for our profession, and we appreciate our members’ support in making our growth sustainable.”

“In the future, whenever pricing adjustments are made to keep up with inflation and the fee structure of similar organizations, we want members to know that these decisions have been considered carefully by SGO leadership with the intent to maximize resources, education, and value for our members,” said Dr. Wolford.
