He has countless ideas about improving the Society and has been a big presence on social media, enthusiastically promoting the SGO/FWC educational offerings, meetings and events and providing amazing, recorded interviews with SGO scholars and faculty about their research. He is also a big advocate for the historically disadvantaged and has volunteered on medical missions to Peru and elsewhere. In addition, Dr. Rios-Doria has created a professional, beautifully written quarterly newsletter that is sent out to the fellow members of the SGO. I am consistently impressed by his professionalism and innovative ideas and so glad I’ve had the opportunity to get to know and him serve on the Board with him this year.”
