Jana Specht
Operations Manager
As the Operations Manager for the SGO and the FWC, Jana focuses on managing operations for human resources, information technology, and office/facilities.
Prior to her employment with the SGO/FWC, Jana received her Bachelor’s Degree in Oboe Performance from DePaul University in June 2015. She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Music Performance and a Minor in Economics. She then attended Northwestern University as a graduate music student from 2015 – 2017.
Jana then chose to pursue music as a hobby rather than her career and accepted a role in operations at recruitment company Phaidon International. She thrived there, rising from Operations Assistant to U.S. Operations Manager in three years. She managed a team of multiple Operations Assistants throughout the U.S., identified potential areas of improvement within the company’s operational functions, assessed and analyzed departmental budgets to find ways to minimize expenses and optimize profits, managed planning and execution of company events, and updated and finalized company policies in line with the company’s culture and needs. She is excited to bring her skills and expertise to the SGO/FWC and implement strategies to make the company an overall better place.
Jana lives in Chicago, IL with her husband Jake and their dog Cooper. She loves exploring the city, taking their dog on long walks, trying new restaurants, and going camping.
