Cervical Cancer
Jul 6, 2023

The Federal Cervical Cancer Collaborative (FCCC) and the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) Office of Women’s Health (OWH) released two new resources to advance equitable cervical cancer prevention, screening, and management in safety-net settings.

1. Toolkit to Build Provider Capacity – to improve quality of care, train staff, communicate and engage with patients, and evaluate current cervical cancer programs

2. Federal Cervical Cancer Collaborative Opportunities Report – outlines key challenges and opportunities to improve cervical cancer care in safety-net settings and includes specific opportunities to improve outcomes in Puerto Rico, U.S. Virgin Islands, and U.S. Affiliated Pacific Islands

The SGO Cervical Taskforce continues to engage with federal partners, including the FCCC roundtable, to further the World Health Organization’s initiative for cervical cancer prevention and control.
