The SGO 2021 Virtual Annual Meeting on Women’s Cancer closed on March 25 with an official total of 2,606 attendees representing 52 countries, including exhibitors and SGO staff. The previous registration record for an SGO Annual Meeting was 2,541 attendees at the 50th Anniversary SGO 2019 Annual Meeting in Honolulu; previous Annual Meeting attendance numbers also counted registered guests. This year’s presented research included a total of 105 oral abstracts, 8 surgical films and 610 posters. The virtual meeting platform also recognized winners of the SGO 2020-2021 Awards as well as the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) 2020-2021 Research Grants and Awards.

The Foundation raised $33,400 from its Peloton raffle, and along with $20,765 in registration-directed donations from members and attendees, a total of $54,165 will support FWC’s critical mission and programs for the patient community and members.
SGO’s first fully virtual meeting captured the following data through the event platform:
- 7,911 session chats posted
- 2,419 private messages sent
- 493 banner ad clicks
- Nearly 400,000 desktop/mobile pageviews
- 3,448 unique exhibit booth visitors
All of the live education sessions are now available OnDemand for registered attendees, and will be accessible through the meeting platform until May 3. Surgical films and posters will also be accessible through the platform until May 3, and exhibitor pages will be accessible until April 16.
