On Wednesday, Sept. 23, 35 SGO congressional ambassadors and 12 patient advocates will meet virtually with representatives from the U.S. House and Senate. This year’s two main legislative priorities are to halt Medicare payment cuts that could jeopardize patient access to medically necessary services and secure funding to the National Cancer Institute (NCI) and Department of Defense (DoD) to increase gynecologic cancer research and public awareness.
