This year, the Foundation for Women’s Cancer (FWC) is combining Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month (GCAM) with Move4Her with a month of movement! Move4Her lasts for all of September and culminates in a virtual celebration where all participants will come together. Help us create a world where everyone has the power to impact, prevent or overcome a diagnosis of gynecologic cancer. Every 5 minutes you move with us this September makes an impact. FWC, in partnership with the Society of Gynecologic Oncology (SGO), is committed to increasing awareness of the five gynecologic cancers, with a focus on reaching historically marginalized communities and populations. In addition to sharing a suite of free educational materials online at movethemessage.org, the FWC is taking its message directly to communities across the country. The FWC will have a booth presence at several community events over the coming months to drive awareness, share resources, and support early diagnosis by motivating all people to help #MoveTheMessage.
If you, your patients, or anyone you know is in the Oklahoma City/Tulsa or St. Louis areas, we encourage you to stop by the FWC booth at the Tulsa Juneteenth Festival on June 17–18, 2022, or at the Fiesta in Florissant on June 25, 2022, at Knights of Columbus Park, respectively, to pick up free resources and say hello to our team.
