The congressionally requested Advancing NIH Research on the Health of Women: A 2021 Conference will address NIH research efforts related to the following topics:
• Rising maternal morbidity and mortality rates
• Increasing rates of chronic debilitating conditions in women
• Stagnant cervical cancer survival rates
An open comment period allowed for input from the scientific community, professional societies, and the general public to assist with identifying research gaps and pitfalls in clinical practices.
