Ask Your US Representative to Increase Funding for Ovarian Cancer Research

Member Update
Mar 31, 2021

SGO is seeking a $10 million increase in research funding for the Department of Defense (DoD) Ovarian Cancer Research Program (OCRP), which will result in a $45 million funding level for the OCRP in Fiscal Year 2022.  Rep. Grace Meng (D-6th-NY), Rep. Norma J. Torres (D-35th-CA) and Rep. Brian Fitzpatrick (R-1st-PA), are circulating a Dear Colleague Letter to the House of Representative’s Defense Appropriations Subcommittee in support of funding the OCRP at $45 million in Fiscal Year 2022. Your help is needed with asking Members of Congress to sign on to the letter to demonstrate broad bipartisan support for OCRP funding. Please go to the SGO Advocacy webpage to send a prewritten email message to your U.S. Representative asking them to sign on to the Meng-N. Torres-Fitzpatrick Dear Colleague Letter. SGO members are urged to act on this request today and as many times as possible through April 7 to support the OCRP funding request.
