The Foundation for Women’s Cancer, SGO’s official foundation, has reimagined the annual National Race to End Women’s Cancer to create the Move4Her event on Oct. 18, 2020, at 12:00 p.m. CT. National fitness celebrity Kathy Smith will host this live one-hour, fully virtual and highly interactive walking and movement event to raise crucial funds for awareness, education, outreach and research of gynecologic cancers. SGO members are encouraged to share this event with their patients and colleagues via Facebook and Twitter. Instructions on how to register and create a fundraising team are available on the Move4Her website. The are several SGO member teams that are already fundraising for Move4Her.
Each Move4Her participant will receive an official t-shirt and swag box filled with an event placard, cooling headband and other items. Participants are encouraged to fill out the placard and share a photo of themselves on social media to tell everyone who they’re going to be moving for on Oct. 18. Members can email Traci Schwendner to have Move4Her posters sent to their institution, organization or private practice, as well as answer any questions about forming a team for their institution.
